If I’ve heard it once I’ve heard it 100x times…. “If I could just motivate my team I’d reach (my goal).”  This is usually heard on repeat in the direct sales industry when you’re trying to reach some sort of goal where you need more sales for the month in order to reach a volume or title goal. If you’ve ever tried to manage any sort of team before I know you’ve said it to.

 

And the most logical response to this I’ve heard until now is “you can’t motivate anyone” - you do your work and maybe you’ll inspire them to do more on their own.

 

But making someone do something isn’t going to motivate them - they have to want to do it themselves.

 

But what IF there was a way to motivate a team member or colleague or even yourself anytime - anywhere. To motivate them to WANT to do more. To achieve more.

 

That's exactly what I'm covering inside this episode. When you can refer to a five-tier model of human needs you'll know what need needs to be filled next to motivate an individual toward reaching self-actualization; which is the need for personal growth and discovery. Also referred to as living out one's purpose and passions.
